After around 52 hours of the massive attack on Mumbai I am really shocked, disappointed and have lost hope on India. What use is the economic growth of 7.6% when a bunch of terrorists can penetrate the marine security of the financial heart of India and take a billion people on seige.
I dont know why India and Indians don't react to threats. All and every one knew that some marine attack is goi gnto happen, all knew that hotels and hospitals will be attacked. By `All` I mean ATS, IB, NCG, Indian Government.
I do not know why cant we attack POK on training camps when USA can attack two countries hosting the threats on them. Why cant we be proactive? Why cant we be as strict as China where in after the legal formalities we shoot the guys and put the videos live on TV? Why does only Indian people have to sit at home, see an heritage built in 1903 AD get destroyed and know in their hearts that nothing gonna happen for it? Why do our leaf level valliant people get sacrificed? Why should we be scared?
I have completely lost hope on India, Indian system, judicial process and security. I am scared of walking on Indian roads. Is it safe? What is the Government doing? Politicians are busy scoring brownie points for the elections. BJP, Congress and all the parties are simply as! @#$%^s.
US people were scared when terrorists hit the world trade center. But they set aside 1 million dollars aside to restore security and trust.
According to me we need to the following:
1) Make a statement against the terrorists - Hang all terrorists in jail or attack POK or something.
2) Make security changes - Separate Police, Army & NCG from Government from politics.
3) Political Links - Track the links of the politicians in this attack put the politicians behind bars.
4) Collaboration - Give a web 2.0 face to the retaliation. Collaborate with US, Israel to get access and give access to information and retaliate.
5) Advanced equipements & enablement the security forces -
a) Increase the pay of army, police men,
b) Give more advanced equipment to our forces.
c) Give more decision making power to army, NSG & police to act on information given by IB in a quick fashion.
India,
This is a time for change. Stop believing that India is great and we all are part of it. India is not great, we ought to make it great. Currently, India is hot, flat, crowded and corrupt. Lets go towards greatness quickly.
